On-Site Work

I’m on-site for a client again today (I was here yesterday too). Not much to really say about that except it’s slowing down Sussen development.

I’ll have to do some hacking when I get home. I was on a bit of a roll with the reporting before this client work came up.

Subversion Repository Layout

I’ve made some changes to the layout of our Subversion repository. We are going to use the recommended layout from Version Control with Subversion.

If this was CVS I’d be in a world of hurt right now. Thankfully Subversion supports moves/renames so it was pretty painless.

I’ve converted LAT already. Sussen will be changed soon, I have a few other things I want to do with the code first.

Contracts

Not much going on today. We’ve got a client and our current contract with them is up on March 31, 2005. They’ve been happy with our work and want us to do some more stuff for them.

So I’m working on some very boring paperwork right now. It’s not all bad because cash flow is a good thing :)

DHCP

Thought my workstation had crashed but no, it turned out my DHCP address on the local LAN changed. I don’t even remember the last time that happened. I can’t believe I missed that. D’oh!

Crashed?

Can’t remotely access my workstation right now. Looks like it crashed. Since I can’t reboot it remotely I’m out of luck for now.

Why does this only happen when I need to be away from the office?!?
Looks like today will be a write off for coding. Just great :(

I need to find a cheap power bar that is accessible via telnet/ssh/web.

Free Again

Finished up the last of the RFP responses this morning. I’m happy about that, being locked in small room with a three other guys is not my idea of a good time.

Yesterday I heard from a Debian developer who wanted to include LAT in sid (’unstable’). It pretty much has to go there because sarge doesn’t include Mono currently.

Anyway an ITP (Intent to Package) was filed in the Debian Bug Tracking System. I think we’ll probably do a co-maintainer thing for this. We are just working out the details.

I think it’s somewhat ironic that Debian will likely include my software before my distro of choice Gentoo does. What would Larry the Cow think?

Still Trapped

Going over RFP responses again today. It’s the lunch break right now. We are looking to get this wrapped up tomorrow and then the finance team takes over.

At that point, I can get back to what’s important, working on Sussen and the NASL interpreter ;)
