Google Wave
Finally got an invite onto Google Wave. If you’ve never heard of it before, here is a short video on what it is and some of the things it can do.
I’d like to setup my own wave server long term and just federate over to Google’s (and other people’s systems).
Snow Leopard
Apple is now taking pre-orders for OSX 10.6 a/k/a Snow Leopard. It will ship on Aug 28th. It cost me $35 CDN to upgrade from 10.5. If I had bought a mac recently it would have been $9.95.

App updates
Did some work on MMATracker and cleaned up the source code. Fixed some long standing issues like horizontal display on tables. Added more news sources. Will appear as v2.2 later this week.
Next release v2.3 will have reload on shake. Other features are still TBD.

Source based distributions
I looked at some of the other source based distros and it seems that none of them are ahead of Gentoo. That leaves OpenSolaris and *BSD neither of which really interest me. I started using Gentoo Linux around the 1.2 release. Lately I’ve been noticing that things seem to be slowing down in portage. I remember when GNOME would be available the day it was released. Now it’s more like weeks/months after the fact.

Developer program?
Been almost a month since I enrolled in the iPhone Developer Program and I still haven’t heard a peep from Apple. I guess they still have a big backlog but this is kind of ridiculus. It doesn’t take 30 days to get in MSDN or any other developer program I’ve ever been in.
Limbo
The Mac I ordered last week is supposed to arrive today. Looking at the FedEx site and tracking the package I see:
