MonoTouch

Posted by lorenb on Jun 30, 2009 in iphone, mono

Found out some more details about Mono/iPhone. The Mono developers have created MonoTouch which will allow you to create C# / .NET based applications on the iPhone/iPod Touch and be able to use iPhone APIs. There is supposed to be a beta of this available in August.
Looks pretty interesting. I’ll definitely try it out.

Mono on the iPhone

Posted by lorenb on Jun 29, 2009 in iphone, mono

I saw a blog post from Miguel de Icaza which seems to show a program written in C# being run on iPhone via Mono.

iPhone 3GS

Apple has released details about the iPhone 3GS. Looks like a nice upgrade for the current 3G. I’ll likely upgrade my 8GB 3G to a 16GB 3GS this summer.
Hopefully Rogers/Fido don’t make this difficult.

Android phones now available from Rogers

Posted by lorenb on Jun 2, 2009 in business, linux

Rogers is now offering Android-based phones. They are HTC devices. With the so-called G2 out, hopefully Google will update their developer phone. I need to pick one up to for device testing at some point.
Sadly we still can’t publish any applications yet. No idea why companies in the USA, UK, France, Austria, Germany, Spain and [...]
