MMATracker on Android

Here are some really early screenshots of MMATracker for Google Android based devices. Given my posts from the last couple of days people have been asking me what our company plans are.
Not as functional as iPhone version yet, but we aren’t in a big rush given that we can’t sell it on the Android market.

Google Checkout

In order to sell on the Android Market you need to have a Google Checkout Merchant account. When I tried to do that for our company it wasn’t possible in their sign up form.
I emailed Google about this and they told me that:

DefaultPass ready for sale

Got the word from Apple that DefaultPass is now ready for sale in the app store. This is our pocket reference for default passwords of network devices. Perfect for IT professionals.

Android Market

I saw that Google is letting paid applications into the Android Market.
I registered our company as a developer. I wanted to setup a merchant account as that is a requirement for selling paid apps but they seem to only support US/UK right now. Looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer.

Website updates

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago we had our website redesigned. It looked pretty good but it wasn’t really maintainable.
I decided to make some changes myself:

Converted site to XHTML scrict (validate here)
Removed HTML tables and use CSS for layout
Replaced Flash with javascript based image slideshow
Converted files from .php to .html
Menubar supports 3 [...]

App updates

MMATracker v2.1 has been submitted to Apple. It adds WEC to the champions view and adds a history view to see results of older events.
We’ve also submitted DefaultPass which is our pocket reference for default passwords of various network gear.
Both will hopefully be in the iTunes store shortly.
