Das Keyboard

I’m not a big fan of the Macbook’s chiclet style keyboard. I’ve been using a Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 for an external keyboard/mouse.

I had only used it with Linux before and I guess I had forgotten that it was a windows only set. When I first got it, I needed a Windows machine to setup the wireless connection between the reciever and the keyboard/mouse. After that it worked like any other USB keyboard in Linux.

On the Macbook the keyboard works, not all the keys mind you, but I don’t use any of the extra multimedia ones anyway. The mouse works too but the side mouse buttons don’t do a forward/reverse in Safari. There is no way to change that. That’s really annoying.

I decided to ditch this keyboard/mouse set. I ordered Das Keyboard Ultimate. For a new mouse I’m going to get the Logitech MX1100. Unlike my current mouse it is supported in OSX so the side buttons will work as intended.
