sussen-applet UI

I was doing some work on Sussen and trying to clean-up the applet UI. Here is a screenshot of the before and after:

sussen-applet UI redesign

The first thing was to get rid of the browse buttons. I just didn’t like the look of them. For now you’ll have to either type the filename/url or drag/drop a URI. In the future, I’d like to use the SexyIconEntry from libsexy to handle browsing.

Second was to get rid of the MD5 hash entry. It was a pain to use because you are not going to always have an md5sum handy. It also doesn’t really provide any security. The OVAL interpreter can’t do anything destructive and the scan is only against your local machine.

Saving the results is optional because a summary is always presented at the end. Speaking of which, I thinking of getting rid of the summary and just displaying the HTML report. That would mean either showing in the users’ browser or using say Gecko#. I have to think about that some more before I do anything.

Third, was moving the check buttons over to the left. Before it looked like there were some kind of options of the result file, which isn’t the case.

The last thing was just to get rid of the seperator at the bottom of the dialog.
