Kung-Fu / CSI

Got some new DVDs yesterday. First was another kung-fu classic, The Hell’s Wind Staff. It’s part of the Wu-Tang Collection (not to be confused with the hip-hop group). Haven’t seen it yet, probably will watch it on the weekend.

Also grabbed a copy of CSI : Season 4. I watched some of it last night and so far it was just as good as the previous seasons. I really enjoy watching the series on DVD a season at a time and without commericals.

I like the way they show different sides of an issue, like in one episode a kid finds a gun in his backyard and they push a “guns are bad” story. The next episode is about some family who is a victim of a home invasion and their daughter is gang raped. They show the father taking about how he thought he could protect his family with a baseball bat and calling the police. The implication of the story is he would have been better off with a gun, kind of like Death Wish.
