network libraries, reports, sussen-sensor

Was thinking about network libraries yesterday, noticed there doesn’t seem to be a lot of life in the GNet and libgnetwork projects. Of course people probably think the same thing about Sussen too :)

I’m kind of surprised this isn’t a bigger priority for the GNOME project. I guess all the core GNOME guys like low level socket programming?

In any event, if there isn’t some activity on the gnet/libgnetwork front soon we might have to roll our own networking solution. Kind of a pain in the ass, but we might not have a choice.

I was also thinking about reporting too. I’d prefer to use the GDA Report Engine however I’m un-sure of it’s current status. Last time I talked to the developers it wasn’t usable yet. I’ll have to bug them again and see what’s up.

Still working on the sussen-sensor improvements. I was tired yesterday and didn’t get as much done as I would have liked.
